Amanda Swain
Raised in a small town in rural Maine, Amanda Swain was born with an eye for fashion. Her childhood illustrations consisted of boxes and boxes of high-heeled shoes, and her cure for sleepless nights was to create dresses for her dolls out of tissues. She learned how to sew at the age of seven, and enrolled in her first Fashion Design class in her sophomore year of high school. Not once has she looked back.
With over 8 years' experience with design, sewing, and illustration, Amanda's fashion education has taken her to San Francisco, Paris, New York, and Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio. Amanda recently graduated from The Fashion School at Kent State with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, and currently works at Hyperlite Mountain Gear in Biddeford, Maine.
When not engrossed in her fashion work, Amanda enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the world around her and helping those in her community through charity and volunteer work.
